Payments represent one of the most exciting and rapidly changing areas in the entire financial services industry. The Growth Marketing and Strategic Initiatives team is a newly formed function within the larger Payments Marketing Organization - responsible for identifying and embedding new capabilities, initiatives for the larger group as a flexible catalyst. As a part of the Growth Marketing & Strategic Initiatives team, the Platforms group helps to creatively express J.P. Morgan Payments values through compelling activations - unlocking new channels and audiences while driving attention with programs that breakthrough.

The Vice President of Growth Marketing & Strategic Initiatives will develop net new marketing platforms against key priorities, and then lead and support the activations in pursuit of strategic marketing goals. The programs will be complementary and additive to the core marketing campaigns for the business, built with an eye towards unlocking new channels and audiences through a creative test/learn/iterate approach.

Responsibilities include

  • Identify, evaluate, drive, manage, and optimize net new Growth Marketing initiatives across J.P. Morgan Payments to unlock new channels, new audiences, and new tactics
  • Develop a roadmap, business cases, and prioritization to support overall marketing objectives.
  • Drive forward J.P. Morgan value proposition through integrated marketing campaigns and activations that help build cultural narrative, innovative perception, and overall breakthrough within a highly competitive space
  • Partner with insights and analytics teams to ensure measurement, research and validation at every step of our marketing process and campaign activity.
  • Collaborate with product, partnerships, and Integrated marketing to ensure all initiatives deliver against overarching business goals and priorities.
  • Quickly build strong relationships among internal stakeholders in a highly matrixed and globally dispersed organization.
  • Project manage your book of work, proactively provide updates to team and partners.
  • Utilize market trends, competitive and customer research to shape how we position our solutions in the marketplace.
  • Manage controls and procedures in accordance with compliance requirements.

Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Masters or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Marketing, preferably across a range of B2B, B2C, and platforms
  • Proven track record of marketing and managing technology products, preferably at global scale
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity and capacity to connect the dots, synthesize complex information gathered from desperate sources and drive results under tight deadlines
  • A passion for emerging technology, new channels, innovations, and trends
  • Experience working with or on major global brands
  • Results-oriented; demonstrated history of exceptional work that has a direct impact on business results
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Thinks strategically and executes quality output under tight deadlines.
  • Experienced in evaluating and managing vendors
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking with experience across partnership measurement
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven track-record of successfully briefing team members at all levels of an organization
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and inspiring leadership skills a must
