POSITION SUMMARY: The E-Commerce Graphic Designer will be responsible for designing, creating and implementing web based content through a content management system. The E-Commerce Graphic Designer will work with the overall look of the Menards.com.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in layout and artwork of the graphic elements on the website – working cooperatively with the E-Commerce Editor to ensure a consistent user experience is implemented
• Creates and tests landing pages and other dynamic content elements and sections of Menards.com
• Creates and maintains Menards articles, guides and other content as required by the business.

§ Maintenance of Menards.com homepages and seasonality page and content designs

• Utilizes an understanding of contemporary web trends and techniques in design of engaging web elements
• Understand target audience and apply design strategy to layouts
• Answer emails in a professional manner
• Understand brand and retail strategies specific to e-commerce and content management.
• Daily use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to complete tasks
• Other tasks as assigned by the E-Commerce Graphic Design Team Lead or E-Commerce General Manager

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Computer Science OR equivalent work experience
• Ability to meet strict deadlines is essential
• Strong attention to detail and must be organized
• Experience with HTML, CSS and other web technologies is a plus
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is required

• Experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written

• Must have strong work ethic and initiative while being able to take direction and maintain organization, be open-minded to change and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment

• Must be able to work well independently and collaboratively

• Relocation to Eau Claire, WI is required
