These range from inland surveys to deep ocean seabed exploration and mapping projects.

TerraSond is looking to add an experienced Geophysical Data Processor to the team. The Geophysical Data Processor is responsible for planning, processing and analyzing sub-bottom profiler, single-channel and multi-channel seismic and other geophysical data. Under the supervision of the Subject Matter Expert, she or he collaborates with other Data Processors, Project Managers and other SME's to plan, acquire, process and analyze multi-sensor datasets. The data processor is responsible for providing elements of final reports.

This role entails periods of offshore work and will require time spent on a vessel and may take place in inclement weather and extreme temperatures. Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, long days, and evening/weekend hours to meet deadlines. Offshore travel is required.

Duties

• Process, analyze and interpret geophysical data including but not limited to data collected with: parametric Sub-Bottom Profiler, high resolution Single-Channel and Multi-Channel seismic including boomers and sparker systems and other sensors used to assess the character and physical measurements upon and beneath the seafloor
• Analyze and process data using project specified software packages such as Sonar Wiz, Radex Pro, HIS Kingdom, GlobalMapper and similar packages
• Process field data for Quality Assurance and Quality Control of collected and processed geophyisical data
• Participate in and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams
• Process geophyisical data both in conjunction with hydrographic survey data and solely
• Participates to professional courses and seminars
• Performs other duties or completes special projects as assigned

Required

• BS or MS in Geophysics/Hydrography/Oceanography
• Experience with marine geophysical data processing software
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Initiative (self-starter), requiring little to no direct direction from leadership
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
