Job description

Company DescriptionEvery year communities throughout the United States face power outages caused by storms, hurricanes, and other natural or man-made disasters. Sunnyside Recovery provides national logistical emergency response support to telecommunications and utility support agencies. We specialize in contractor recruitment practices that supply expert response personnel who are fully equipped to provide comprehensive disaster recovery services. Our expertise includes, but is not limited to, tower maintenance, generator distribution, and utility base camp support resources. Whenever a community is in need of assistance to regain power after a disaster, it’s a sure bet that Sunnyside Recovery will be there. As Ian gains strength in the Caribbean, we are looking to add several disaster response contractor teams to deploy generators on short notice, sometimes the same day, to events that cause power outages.

Our primary Storm Position, a Gen-tech team, is to tow trailer-mounted generators to communication towers, wire them in, and bring the tower back to life in a disaster area where the power grid is down. Then after generators are deployed, we maintain, refuel, and then recover them once power is restored to the area.

* We have recruiting opportunities with PASSIVE RESIDUAL revenue for anyone interested in additional income. Multiple teams, trucks, or companies can be set up.

Missions last an average of 1-5 weeks. Each Team makes an average of $3500 to $5500 a week with housing, food, and fuel covered by the company. You will be working with many other contractor teams in a very positive, friendly, and rewarding work environment from centrally located bases set up in or near disaster areas.

* Additionally, after storm work concludes, are excited to extend "non-storm" work opportunities to our traditional storm contracting network as well.

Business as Usual (BAU) generator deployments are tickets run anytime power goes out at a single cell site. While these jobs can be a precursor to storm deployments, they are administered differently. It depends on what market you're in, but if you are the primary technician, you can expect 100 to 200 hours a month. You are paid from when you leave your house until you get back to your house, the average ticket is about 10 hours.

If this sounds exciting to you, our minimum requirements are a 3/4 ton or heavier (4X4 pick-up truck) and electrical experience or competence. Basic knowledge of single phase 240 electricity (electrical contractors preferred). Most sites are cam-lock plug and play but the occasional hard wire is required. The ability to hard wire generators to cell phone towers allows you to work on all available contracts

Must have a 3/4 ton (or bigger) 4x4 truck
Min 18 years old with a valid driver's license
Smartphone with text capabilities and camera
Ability to deploy with short notice

There is a registration process, instructions will be sent to you in a follow-up email.
