Reports to:

Assistant Controller

Dynamic, established organization in Chardon is seeking to add a full-time General Ledger Staff Accountant to our rapidly growing team! The ideal candidate would be experienced in General Ledger, Account Analyses, Month-End Close Cycle, and Sales Tax, and possess strong Excel skills, be flexible, and willing to learn. They must be able to prioritize and multi-task, and be detail oriented. Experience with ADP and/or Infor CSD are major plusses! Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent) and 1 to 3 year’s relevant experience desired.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Assistant Controller on month-end close process – preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, maintaining fixed asset schedules
• Prepare and distribute standard accounting and departmental reports per monthly schedule
• Responsible for downloading daily banking reports of previous day’s activity
• Reconcile deposit totals to general ledger, in partnership with A/R Staff Accountant
• Research non-standard transactions and work with Assistant Controller to resolve
• Prepare monthly standard journal entries
• Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
• Serve as part of year-end audit team, preparing schedules and procuring documents as requested by external auditors
• Process payroll (ADP) under direction of senior-level finance team
• Perform other accounting duties as required or requested by senior-level finance team

Compensation/Benefits Include:

• ·Salary – Up to $50,000/year
