Job description

Heavy Equipment company in the Garland area is looking for a Forklift techician

• Valid driver's license including clean motor vehicle record
• Clean background check and ability to pass a drug screen
• Advanced knowledge of LPG and diesel powered engines, power train components, brake, fuel, hydraulic and electrical systems
• Must be self-motivated and well organized

Responsibilities

• Drive to customer sites, diagnosing, trouble-shooting and repairing forklifts and other assigned equipment in accordance with established guidelines and procedures while maintaining positive customer relations
• Conduct routine and special inspections as required
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment according to schedule, established procedures and cost guidelines at customers' sites
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components
• Maintain Repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective maintenance
• Account for all parts, materials, tools and consumables used as required
• Drive and work safely in accordance with company and/or customer with company and customer safety rules and procedures at all times including keeping your work area clean and orderly
• Developing and maintaining positive, effective working relationships with assigned customers and co-workers
• Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as equipment manuals, schematics, work instructions, etc

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
