Ralph's American Grill in Wilmington is looking for exceptional and experienced full and part time Food Expeditors join our team! Ideal candidates have previous experience in a high volume restaurant, excellent customer service skills, and flexibility in schedule. The position requires a great deal of energy, a positive attitude, and desire to always wear a smile.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE

Reports To: Director of F&B, Manager, Assistant Manager, and Kitchen Supervisor.

SCOPE

To coordinate food orders for servers after preparation by the kitchen staff. To serve as a “go-between” for the wait staff and the kitchen staff.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are highlight items and not meant to be all-inclusive of this position:

• Confers with the manager on duty about prep list to determine requirements of the day.

• Follows company recipes when preparing foods.

• Coordinates and garnishes meals. Assists servers in food pick- up.

• Communicates special food order instructions from servers to cooking staff.

• Makes certain final food product is complete and of the utmost quality.

• Helps minimize costs and control waste by:

Using proper portions of garnishes.

Rotating food and sauces properly.

Maintaining proper holding temperatures of food.

• Observes good sanitation and safety procedures.

• Maintains cleanliness and organization in area.

• Maintains a high standard of hygiene and appearance.

• Works effectively and professionally with other departments of the restaurant.

• Adheres to policies as set forth in associate handbook and department manuals.

• Does any other duties requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous restaurant experience preferred

Skills:

• Highly organized

• Good communication skills
