Summary of Position

The Fleet Coordinator is an operations support role that is responsible for fleet coordination, maintenance and management. This position is responsible for monitoring and optimizing the utilization of equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Managing equipment records.
  • Installing telematics (GPS) in all units.
  • Managing vehicle health in fleet management programs
  • Working with operations to on & off rent equipment as needed
  • Coordinating all equipment service & repairs.
  • Contacting vendors for quotes on services, repairs, and rentals.
  • In contact with operations to implement & monitor the preventive maintenance programs in accordance with procedures and policies ensuring compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with pre-trip inspections, DOT compliance and other related auditing and compliance programs.
  • Provide training on an on-going basis on fleet maintenance and provide operations with a report showing compliance.
  • Provide operations with weekly feedback via report mechanism on equipment in need of movement and how to maximize utilization.
  • Conducts road tests for operations.
  • Ability to travel throughout region with little notice.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Preferred fleet experience
  • CDL a plus!
  • Mechanical experience a plus!
