About the Job
The Financials System Analyst (Temp) is the functional support person on the finance team and is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems, assisting process automation, and improving existing financial business system operations. This position will be involved in assisting the team with PeopleSoft ERP, Reflexis Time and attendance and other financial systems, responding to ad-hoc requests and master data management. This is a remote temporary position for up to 12 months.
What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

  • Individual in this role will primarily be responsible for maintaining configuration and providing functional/technical support for PeopleSoft Financials modules and Reflexis Time system. Modules in use are General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Management, eProcurement, and Project Costing.
  • Partner with Finance end-users to understand production issues, analyze business problems and work closely with IT to develop resolutions.
  • Monitor weekly/biweekly payroll close and pay extract release processes for Time and Attendance systems.
  • Provide support with System upgrades, patches, and PUMs.
  • System job monitoring/data migration to the data warehouse
  • Assist in PeopleSoft related month end Financial close activities.
  • Create functional specifications and collaborate with the IT development team on enhancements, including those related to external data feeds.
  • Responsible for creating systems test plans and then ultimately performing systems testing for assigned change requests.
  • Create/modify PeopleSoft queries, tree structures, allocation and nVision, including report scheduling and maintaining job scheduler.
  • Demonstrate keen understanding of accounting procedures including the financial close process and creation of company financial statements.
  • Analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn about specific requirements.
  • Assist in the research, design, and implementation of additional business applications within PeopleSoft or from third parties.
  • Maintain communications and positive relations with Finance users and Information Technology

What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of PeopleSoft experience including hands-on experience with supporting and troubleshooting PeopleSoft Financials applications.
  • Functional/system knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials version 9.2, including GL, AR, AP, AM, ePro, and Project Costing
  • Experience or background in Payroll, or Time and Attendance systems
  • Basic understanding on Federal, state, and local time admin rules and system requirements
  • Must have experience supporting PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, and PUMs.
  • Must have proven, strong skills using SQL to review data to assist in problem solving.
  • The ability to research / analyze a problem autonomously before seeking assistance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional customer service and able to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization internally and externally.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources.
  • Must be a team player and able to work independently.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across functions and levels of an organization to drive teams towards success-based results.
  • Desire to learn, improve performance, and ask questions.
  • An effective communicator with excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Must be focused, goal driven, accountable, and exhibit significant attention to detail.
  • Exposure to other financial systems like Blackline, Oracle HFM and P2P are preferred.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week from a remote office location

$29.00 – 38.00 Hourly. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
