Financial Advisor
Financial Growth Partners | Chevy Chase, MD

Overview

The Financial Advisor role is an investment-related sales position that is expected to progress into the Insurance Business. The FR complements our Agency business model. The FR will report to the Guardian/Park Avenue Securities headquarters in New York but will be located in or near any of our established general agencies on the East Coast.

Primary Responsibilities

• Grow, develop, and retain book of high net worth, complex investors by identifying value-added products and services for clients, identifying and acquiring client assets held outside of Guardian/Park Avenue Securities, and developing additional business through referrals.
• Drive loyalty share of wallet, and referrals from existing customers to cultivate outside acquisition opportunities.
• Analyze and plan broad investment strategy for wealth management customers with ongoing and consistent revision of account objectives to meet client needs
• Build meaningful relationships with clients to proactively manage their changing situations through life stages and generational wealth transfer.
• Provide thoughtful, relevant, and timely communications to entire book of clients.
• Partner/coordinate across team of financial planning associates, insurance representatives, and service support staff.
• Demonstrated commitment to compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Elevate the Guardian/Park Avenue Securities brand and wealth management offering in the competitive market set.

Qualifications

• Strong track record in generating sales and meeting production requirements
• Broad background of advisory, client management and sales experience providing complex financial planning services for high net worth and affluent clients
• Superior interpersonal skills and face-to-face relationship-building abilities
• Demonstrated experience in understanding client's financial situations and personal circumstances
• Demonstrated ability to deliver a distinctive and thoughtful experience that is aimed at providing appropriate advice for the client's situation that secures confidence and business
• Competent computing skills with the Microsoft Office suite and other systems, e.g., NetX360
• No more than two broker-dealers in the last 10 years
• Existing Series 7, 66 (or 63 and 65) and appropriate state life insurance licenses
• Bachelors Degree strongly preferred
