**
*Job Summary*
The Field Technician will provide professional consultation, technical and field installation support for a variety of precast Stormwater products during the manufacturing, installation and post-installation phases of the project. Our Field Consultants are primarily responsible for quality assurance review of precast facilities, product assembly training, on-site product installation support, field reporting, product activation and warranty maintenance for all Contech Stormwater products.
Primary Responsibilities

• Acts as on-site advisor to contractors installing Contech structures.
• Coordinates on-site logistics using various documents (e.g., Drawings, Load Lists, Schedules, etc.).
• Answers technical questions (e.g., crane rigging to pre-cast products, installation, etc.).
• Assists or conducts field installation of internal components.
• Visually assesses job site readiness informing Project Coordinator (PC) accordingly.
• Audits raw material and finished product inventory as needed.
• Performs periodic production inspections to ensure product is manufactured in accordance with Contech specifications and notify PC and Quality department of deficiencies.
• Schedules and conducts pre-installation meetings.
• Analyzes quality control check sheets both pre-pour and post-pour, as requested.
• Ensures SOPs are followed by the precaster.
• Responsible for physical inventory counts.
• Conducts post installation inspections.
• Performs maintenance as needed.
• Other duties assigned.

Minimum Education
Preferred minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Major/Focus: Construction Management or related field.

• Combination of post-secondary education and experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

*Qualifications*
Required:

• Construction experience. Experience in concrete pouring, reinforcing and finishing preferred.
• Ability to travel 40% of the time (air and auto) in multi-state region.
• Able to work independently and without supervision.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read and interpret engineer shop and installation drawings.
• Strong communication skills with ability to manage and mediate conflict.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Ability to perform standard activities requiring physical effort, including lifting, reaching, climbing and bending/twisting.
• Ability to obtain confined space certification and work in a physically confined space.
