Summary of Position:
The Field Safety Representative position is a fast-paced and demanding role that requires close attention to detail regarding safety and operation of multiple pieces of equipment on the mine site. The position also offers the flexibility to perform additional duties within the day-today operation. This position is a plant-based role that requires a 5-on/ 2-off work schedule.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 1-3 years' experience as a utility mine operator.
- Comprehends documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Working knowledge of equipment capabilities and limitations.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- May be required to work overtime, based on business and facility needs.
- Ability to understand technical instructions.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring the compliance with the Freedom Proppant Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Identifies Safety & Environmental hazards across the mine site through spot checks.
- Performs monthly inspections of all firefighting equipment across the mine site.
- Reviews and audits workplace exams and Pre-Operational Inspections.
- Cultivates and develops relationship with employees and management to help foster a strong safety culture.
- Performs sight specific hazard awareness training for vendors and contractors.
- Assists in all special permit required task performed on the mine site.
- Mentors newly hired mine employees after they complete new hire orientation.
- Ability to understand the basic concepts, and safe work practices of plant machinery within the wet and dry process.
- Assists in maintaining proper inventory of PPE and other safety supplies.

Salary:
$20-30/hr
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
