The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh is recruiting a clinician scientist in glaucoma. The successful candidate will be stepping into an established and very busy glaucoma service, with other glaucoma-trained clinicians and two glaucoma fellows. This person will have research, clinical, and teaching responsibilities and the position of Associate Professor, Non-tenure.

We operate multiple state-of-the-art clinical and surgical facilities and utilize a mature electronic health record system to provide high-quality and efficient patient care. Our academic focus is on translational research, advanced surgeries, imaging technologies, and A.I.-supported Big Data analysis with a teleophthalmology network. The ideal candidate has expertise in several of these areas with outstanding clinical productivity, interpersonal skills, and a track record of funding and publications. The level of appointment and salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Our department accepts six residents and two glaucoma fellows per year. It is comprised of 38 clinical faculty and 24 basic scientists. MD degree or international equivalent required. Ophthalmology and Glaucoma specialties are required.
