The Software Applications Support Engineer position involves working closely with ARGO customers and internal ARGO teams in a consulting and supportive technical role on both an ongoing basis as well as on a project delivery basis. The Engineer will also provide technical recommendations to the customer as well as software installation and version upgrade assistance.

Individuals with software configuration, deployment/installation, and Windows server administration are encouraged to apply.


EDUCATION :
    • Bachelor’s degree within Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering field is preferred

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THIS POSITION :
    • Supports multi-tier, multi-server, multi-threaded complex applications in various environments
    • Installation and configuration of Windows servers
    • Manage application configurations, deploy software updates, troubleshoot operating system issues, application issues, and code issues
    • Provide software (both ARGO and 3rd party) installation and configuration assistance to customers as well as to internal ARGO teams
    • Provide technical support during implementations for large financial institutions, while providing hardware and software recommendations to customers
    • Provide assistance during pilot and/or production rollout of ARGO applications
    • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
    • Develop and manage technical and delivery documentation for both internal and external implementation projects.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
    • 4+ years of experience providing technical support during implementations of enterprise-level software.
    • 3+ years of Windows Server Administration including Active Directory, IIS, file sharing, terminal services, etc.
    • Relational database experience (Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle)
    • Comprehensive understanding of one of more of the following protocols: TCP/IP, SNA (MS Host Integration Server), MQ (Message Queuing), HTTP
    • Comprehensive understanding of firewalls, Network load balancers and router technology
    • Experience reviewing application generated traces and logs

PREFFERRED ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
    • Citrix application support
    • Experience providing technical support for large financial or healthcare institutions
    • Construction and configuration of SQL databases
    • Comprehensive knowledge of SQL Statement Syntax
    • IT Security
    • Able to read programming code; Java exposure.
    • PowerShell scripting

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
