The Engineering Drafter will work with Baker Hughes Design Engineers to bring innovative solutions to life. You will collaborate with engineers to create gearbox component and assembly drawings. You use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create drawings and designs.

As an Engineering Drafter, you will be responsible for success as a design drafter and be able to use design principles to create technical drawings that bring the engineer’s idea to life. Candidates will have excellent knowledge of CAD software, ideally Creo, and the ability to conceptualize design with meticulous attention to detail.

As an Engineering Drafter, you will be responsible for:

• Collecting structural materials required for designs
• Calculating dimensions, weights, and other gearbox related information
• Drafting design using computer-aided design (CAD) software (Creo)
• Collaborating with the design team to review drawings and designs
• Revising drawings according to feedback from engineers
• Delivering products as part of a team
• Working on cross functional teams

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will require:

• A.S. in Design/Drafting, and/or obtaining an associate degree with internship experience minimum (obtaining degree within 1-2 months), can have 1 year experience minimum with no degree.
• CAD and/or Creo experience
• Ability to read and understand customer specifications and other technical documentation
