Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Nurse to join our healthcare team in Boston, MA. As an Endoscopy Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the assigned setting. You will be communicating with physicians, Nurse Manager, and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patients' clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. You must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, you will be able to perform general nursing duties utilizing the nursing process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer medication and perform treatments as per the patient's condition
Provide patients with a complete explanation of procedures or treatments
Document patient care as per the hospital's policies
Formulate a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and evaluate the effectiveness of learning
Participate in orientation of new personnel
Assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills
Utilize infection control principles
Recognize adverse drug reactions/interactions and take appropriate actions
Provide feedback about health status and potential lifestyle changes
Utilize critical thinking skills, recognize and react appropriately in the delivery of patient care
Provide assistance to other nursing care team members to assure efficient, effective and timely quality patient-centered care
Display a cost-effective practice by efficient and non-wasteful use of supplies and linen, always following established procedures for charge items
Qualifications:

Valid and current RN license
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Endoscopy nursing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays
