Seeking Experienced Emergency Medicine PA / NP.

EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

• ED Volume: 42,000
• 42-Bed ED
• 6-10% of ED population is pediatrics
• 15-22% admission rate (combined true hospital admits and observation admits)
• 8-10 hour physician shifts
• Hospitalists admit 80% of the admitted patients in the hospital.
• EPIC EMR
• Two Sonosite machines in ED
• GlideScope with pediatric/adult blades and flexible fiberoptic scope attachment
• Ultrasound-guided IVs done by physicians, RNs, and techs

HOSPITAL

• 300-bed acute care hospital
• Medical center offers the latest technology in all major specialties
• Level III Trauma Center
• Primary stroke center
• STEMI receiving center
• CT scanners
• 2 digital x-ray
• MRI
• Ultrasound
• 24/7 in-house coverage for hospitalists, CRNAs, and tele-interpreters
• On-Call 24/7: interventional radiology, anesthesiology, OB/GYN, psychiatry, cardiology, nephrology, neurology, hematology/oncology, colorectal surgery
• Limited 24/7 call coverage: thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, urology, ENT
• Transfers out: inpatient pediatrics, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology
