Acutronic Power Systems (APS) is searching for an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our growing team. The Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician will perform a variety of electronic and mechanical tasks to support production. The model candidate should be someone that is highly detail-oriented and proficient use of basic hand tools, soldering irons, and light power tools. Strong time-management skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment are critical for success in this role.

For 50 years, Acutronic’s Motion Simulation & Test Division has been the global market leader in the development, design, and manufacture of Inertial Guidance Test Systems and Hardware-In-The-Loop motion simulators. These high-precision motion simulators are used in the aerospace, defense, automotive, and consumer electronics industries to test and calibrate sensors and missiles.

Acutronic’s Aerospace Components Division develops and manufactures specialty components for use on unmanned aerial vehicles and optionally-piloted aircraft. These products are used on next-generation aerospace programs and include a range of electric power systems, servo-actuators, micro-turbines and Hybrid-Electrical-Propulsion-Systems. Acutronic Aerospace offers standard products and excels at designing highly-customized solutions for demanding mission requirements.

Acutronic is seeking an experienced:

Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician

Your roles/responsibilities will include:

§ Work from schematics and specifications to construct developmental assemblies, subassemblies and components;

§ Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames, using hand tools and power tools;

§ Inspect, test, and calibrate completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and requirements;

§ Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers;

§ Work with kit parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials from inventory;

§ Perform step-by-step instructions with quality assurance checks;

§ Document actions and completion of process steps by tracking data and entering into paper and computer-based production and quality forms;

§ Assemble cables, tubes, wiring and connectors according to specifications;

§ Apply solutions or paints to wired electrical components, using hand tools and bake equipment;

§ Test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic volt meters, or bridges.

Your qualifications/skills should include:

§ High School Diploma or equivalent;

§ At least one year of experience in the assembly and testing of electro-mechanical assemblies in a production environment;

§ Experience building from mechanical and electrical drawings and ability to follow written and verbal instructions;

§ A combination of experience and education will be considered;

§ Must be a U.S. Person

§ Work is generally performed in a production environment.
