Job description
  • Journeyman License Required-
JOB SUMMARY
Oversee the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems in the manufacturing facility, production areas, and warehouse. Test existing equipment and determine if components of a system need to be upgraded or replaced. Check switches, motors, regulators and other parts of an industrial electrical system. Work on hydraulic, pneumatic and other kinds of systems. Work on robotic equipment.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
Preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned
Electrical troubleshooting & Maintenance (480, 240, 120, 24 V systems)
PLC / HMI Programming
NEC (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Work Place)
Installation and maintenance of controls hardware (transmitters, flow meters, RTD’s, chart recorders, instrumentation, processors, PC’s, etc)
Electrical installation (wire pull, conduit runs, etc)
Work with production to solve issues
Be Proactive in seeking out maintenance issues in the plant and the solutions
See that company tools and equipment are used and maintained properly.
Work Safely and efficiently
Maintain a maintenance log
Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct
Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training:
High School Diploma or GED and or related experience
Industrial Electrician, Licensed Journeyman Electrician in the state of Idaho (or Equivalent)

Experience Required:
Previous Industrial Electrician experience in a manufacturing facility

Communicates Effectively: Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Must be able to read and write instructions in English
Drives Results: Must be results focused and oriented toward accomplishment of team and organizational goals. Develop a strong understanding of our customers, processes, products and system tools.
Situational Adaptability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of factors in situations where limited standardization exists. Must be able to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when needed.

Language, Computer & Numeracy:
Must be fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills to follow SOP’s and SAG’s.
Familiarity with GMP’s
Familiarity with computers and basic typing
Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams.
Ability to read and interpret instruction manuals.

Typical Environmental Conditions
May be exposed to 85+ noise levels in which hearing protection will be needed.
