Are you a floor oriented person who knows safety, OSHA, etc. and enjoys working with people? If so, you’ve got our attention. We’re Recourse Communications and we match top talent with top opportunities. As our client’s EHS Safety Manager your objective will be to create a culture in which the company continually works towards a goal of zero injuries. You will have the authority to make decisions while exercising discretion and independent judgment. You will report directly to the General Manager and work closely with Production, Human Resources, Vendors and Contractors. Some of your responsibilities will be to achieve a culture change towards Safety ensuring compliance to plant and corporate best practices and policies and fostering a team commitment for Safety and Environmental considerations. You will also be responsible for regulatory assessments and efforts to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and local health, safety, environmental regulations.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent field experience in

EHS/Quality preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience within a manufacturing company, preferably in the Corrugated Packaging industry
  • Possess advanced knowledge of OSHA laws and best-in-class Safety techniques
  • Clear, concise oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence the actions of others without formal authority
  • Membership in various Safety organizations desired
  • Experience assisting or leading a culture-change initiative regarding Safety Work practices
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, inlcuding Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
