Essential Duties:

• Physically implements projects and operates the drilling rig, including private, commercial, and industrial water wells.
• Work alongside clients, hydrologists, and engineers in order for operations to run smoothly.
• Ability to manage, delegate, and instruct responsibilities and individual projects to the drilling crew.
• Ensure all operations are conducted according to the company's health and safety programs.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all equipment and field operations.
• Attend all weekly company safety meetings and conduct daily team meetings.
• Monitor the performance of all equipment and complete maintenance and repair projects.
• Report project progress and statuses to the Drilling Superintendent/Project Manager on a regular basis.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment, including equipment and jobsite areas.
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted to the appropriate departments.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum three (3) years water well drilling operator experience preferred.
• Experience working with top-drive, rotary, table drive, hammers, and tricones preferred.
• Must have sufficient knowledge of all rig positions and operations.
• General understanding of installation, service, and operation of water well pumps.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License, and clean driving record.
• Must be able to physically lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
• Stays on task and has the follow-through to complete assignments efficiently and safely.
• Works independently and as part of a team.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area
