Our client, a wealth management and financial planning practice in the Greater Atlanta area is hiring a Director of Investments (DOI).

The DOI will eventually oversee portfolio management and investment strategy for the practice.  They would work in conjunction with the Wealth Management Advisor(WMA) and other team members to provide a world class client experience.   The DOI will lead portfolio analysis, research fund managers, and be tagged into client conversations as the subject matter expert. In the beginning stage of the role the DOI will also learn and be responsible for investment operations and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will be responsible for the investment strategy and recommendations within the practice.  This would include :

Working with the WMA to research and refine the investment strategy
Creating investment takeover proposals and conducting portfolio analysis
Interacting with clients as the subject matter expert on their portfolios, market and economic trends
Conducting research and providing written commentary to clients
Creating executive summaries and talking points on client accounts
Monitoring and giving direction on how to trade accounts (rebalance, tactical tilts, tax loss harvesting)
Oversee trading and client onboarding experience

  • Ensure the Wealth Management Advisor is briefed on investment updates prior to meetings along with being able to interface with clients themselves to best explain analysis and recommendations in their situation.
  • Oversee and execute various investment operations tasks to learn the process, build process efficiencies and eventually hire the next team member to own the operations.
  • Other tasks may include:

Providing planning insights to the WMA and team members
Ensuring all client interactions are up to date in CRM system
Researching current regulations, tax law changes and other pertinent industry information to stay ahead of changes that can affect clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5+ years in the wealth management space
  • Preferred if candidate has series 7 and 66
  • Preferred if candidate has or is pursuing CFA designation
  • Comfortable in other analytical and client facing work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Commission pay
