Beyond Gravity is the preferred supplier of structures for all types of launch vehicles and a leader in selected satellite products and for constellations in the New Space sector. Beyond Gravity also uses its space knowledge for applications outside of space technology: The high-precision products have already been used in the semiconductor industry for more than 20 years.
Role Overview:
Reporting in a global matrix environment to the Chief People Officer and the VP of Launchers Alabama, the Director of HR US will provide strategic design and operational leadership of Beyond Gravity's US operations and Launchers business globally.

The Director of HR US will be a member of the Global HR leadership team and as such will partner on human capital projects globally. In addition to serving as the key strategic HR business partner to the Launchers Business senior leadership team, this position will also be responsible for HR in three US site locations: Decatur AL, Titusville FL, and Denver CO. This will be a high visibility role supporting a period of growth and transformation.
Current team size is 3 direct reports and includes Senior HR Generalist/Recruiter, HR Generalist and HR Recruiter. In addition, there will global COEs for Compensation & Benefits, Global Mobility, HRIS & Processes and L & D which delivers services to the Director of HR, US and Global HRBP Launchers Business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountability for the strategic development and tactical implementation of the Launchers business and US, HR agenda. Work with key stakeholders in Europe and the US to ensure country and global alignment of programming and initiatives.
- Ensure US and Launchers HR, talent, and culture initiatives are compelling, competitive, and aligned with Beyond Gravity's culture and business goals. Consistently administer programs as part of the larger global business plan.
- Act as a strategic and trusted HR business partner to senior leadership across the US market and the Launchers business. Serve as a proactive advisor to executive leadership while serving as a conduit to global corporate leadership.
- Deliver innovative culture, talent, and organizational design solutions, aligned to the future needs of the business and employee population considering market nuances in the US and international locations for the Launchers business.
- Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Review and approve visa letters, applications, and related documents. Provide recommendations/consulting for immigration practices and manage the I-9/E-Verify program and work authorization compliance.
Key Competencies
- Extensive experience gained in publicly traded, global matrix organizations, preferably in a regional leadership position, is preferred.
- A background featuring manufacturing industry experience, in lean production, 5S / Six Sigma / Continuous improvement environments will be helpful.
- Preferred experience will include candidates comfortable leading HR in an organization that is operating in an agile or fluid environment.
- Superior ability to communicate, influence, gain the confidence of, and advise senior management on issues related to HR at the country and business unit level.
- Strong analytics, business, and financial acumen (e.g., understand P&L and impacts of fifinancial statements on business operations). Ability to understand key business drivers and translate into compelling HR plans.
- A heavy client orientation and ability to have hard conversations, or push back, on leaders in an appropriate manner.
- Professional HR leadership background, in a customer centric environment, with experience partnering with business leaders on organizational design initiatives that allow HR to assist in driving business innovation.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- BS, MS Preferred
- 10+ yrs relevant HR experience
- 5+ yrs in a leadership position
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP Certification desired
