Moog’s Corporate Group is looking for a Director, Employee Relations/Engagement. The incumbent will be responsible for developing the Employee Relations/Engagement strategy and implements the policies, programs and services that preserve Moog’s distinctive culture and values and that elevate the employee and manager experience.

The Director, Employee Engagement will lead the US team of Employee Engagement Specialists who are the “Face of HR” and trusted advisors to employees, supervisors and managers for all employment and employee relations matters. They will ensure legal and regulatory compliance with all employments laws and directly engage in and influence the DE&I (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) agenda and supports Employee Resource Groups (ERGs).

Responsibilities:
  • Develops the Employee Relations strategy to provide exceptional, proactive services to the business that drive solutions and that elevate the experience of employees, managers and other HR functions.

  • Designs policies, programs and solutions that preserve Moog’s culture and values, that foster strong relationships and that promote an employee experience that is unique and cherished.


  • Leads the team of Employee Engagement Specialists who, collectively, serve as trusted advisors and the “Face of HR” for all US locations assisting employees and Managers with non-routine matters including interpretation of policy, performance management, communication & recognition programs, legal compliance, leadership coaching and the onboarding of new employees from acquisitions.


  • Serves as key advisor to the Moog DE&I agenda and actively engages in efforts to advance these efforts.


  • Works collaboratively with other HR leaders to support the HR Operating model and its SDC (Service Delivery Center), COE (Centers of Excellence) and HRBPs (Business Partners) so that the HR function provides exceptional service to our employees and leaders at all US locations.


  • Oversees the development of the Employee Engagement team, ensuring that all members are consistently trained to handle today’s employee-relations challenges and ensuring that an appropriate plan is in place to develop them for future opportunities.
  • Oversees the development, maintenance and implementation of US Employment policies – ensuring they are legally compliant, meet the needs of the business, and foster Moog’s distinctive culture and values – as well as maintain Moog’s status as a union-free employer within its US operations
  • Supports the Employee Engagement Specialists by serving as the escalation point for complex employee-relations matters, working with HR leaders and Legal to achieve appropriate resolutions. Chairs the MDRP (Moog Discussion and Resolution Process) review panel for resolving escalated issues.


  • Oversees the administration of Moog’s Equal-Employment and Affirmative Action programs, ensuring that these are effective, up-to-date and compliant with all applicable regulations. Overseas all compliance audits of these programs.


  • Supports the Employee Engagement Specialists in the integration and onboarding of new employees during the acquisition of new businesses.



Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Business, Psychology, Human Resources or related field required.
  • 8 – 12 years of experience required, with at least 5-7 in a leadership role.
    • Experience in HR, specifically Employee Relations needed.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State and local employment and compliance regulations as well as experience with regulatory agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability in leadership competencies for role.
