Full Time DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL (Residential) - PAID TRAINING & BENEFITS

A DSP is someone who works directly with people who have intellectual or developmental disabilities. DSP’s help people with I/D learn how to do things for themselves and pursue the things that matter to them most. No two days are the same when you are a Direct Support Professional (DSP) but everyday can leave you feeling like you’ve really made a positive difference in another individual’s life. You succeed when our individual’s succeed by reaching their potential and accomplishing their goals.

WHAT WOULD MY PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

Each person in our program has support tailored to their needs and their goals making their care individualized, however below are some of the most common tasks:

· Support with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal hygiene, recreation, and educational goals.

· Transportation to and from appointments, activities, school, shopping, field trips and supporting them along the way.

· Complete and pass regulatory trainings, pass meds and keep accurate documentation

· Help our individuals reach the goals they’ve set for their lives.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?

· You are caring and compassionate

· You are reliable and dependable

· You possess a willingness to learn

· You don’t mind working some overtime

· You love to help others

· You want to have an impact in the life of another person

MUST HAVES:

· You must be at least 18 years of age and,

· Have a valid Driver’s License and,

· A High School Diploma or GED

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
