General PCA Description: Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide assistance and care to Individuals with both apparent and non-apparent disabilities in the persons home and community. The Individual decides what supports are needed to maintain their independence and directs DSP staff as to how to safely and effectively meet their needs. Job duties include: ensuring the safety and well-being of the individual; assisting individual with hygiene management (toileting, bathing, dressing, etc.); household management; documentation of daily activities; communication; and community/social integration. Available shifts include days, evenings, over night and weekend hours.
