Direct Marketing Manager
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Direct Marketing Manager is responsible for the management, planning and analysis of all traditional direct marketing campaigns, including, but not limited to, Direct Mail, Broadcast Media, Print Media, and On-Site Activation. This is a hands-on role that requires a data-driven direct marketing expert with demonstrated experience delivering profitable lead growth for products/services with a long conversion cycle.

By increasing our brand awareness and qualified lead conversion through direct marketing initiatives, you will be a key component of driving demand to fuel that growth. This position requires creativity and efficiency as you seek ways to optimize our programs without limiting scale.
This position is an on-site role located in Guilford, CT. This position is not available for remote or hybrid work settings.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage and measure all traditional direct marketing programs, including direct mail, broadcast (TV/radio), print media, and on-site activation
  • Focus intensely on quantitative analysis and analytics leveraging available dashboards, reporting and insight tools to ensure optimal ROAS, CPA, and qualified lead acquisition
  • Develop and execute appropriate A/B and multivariate testing including ad copy, creative assets, calls-to-action, etc.
  • Maintain and distribute KPI reports to Marketing and Executive Leadership
  • Negotiate and secure preferable pricing, timing and delivery from all third-party vendors and media partners
  • Identify, evaluate and propose new traditional direct marketing programs/channels for testing and potential lead generation growth
  • Monitor competitor activity and landscape ensuring appropriate competitive and brand positioning
  • Manage team of two direct reports responsible for the day-to-day execution of traditional direct marketing deliverables
  • Remain current in direct marketing best practices, economic and raw material trends, as well as potential new channels/platforms
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors’ Degree required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in traditional direct marketing is required
  • Demonstrated analytical mindset with direct ROI experience
  • Prior experience in leveraging data to build customer-focused communication strategies as well as a strong grasp of customer lifecycle management
  • Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Prior supervisory or managerial experience a plus
  • Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment where strategies or priorities can quickly shift as business needs warrant
  • Must be exceptionally organized, highly detail oriented and have strong project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Self-directed and motivated to manage priority workload is a MUST
