Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Director of Human Resources, UKP reports to the Executive Director, UKP and to the System Vice President, Human Resources. Responsible for the oversight and daily management of the overall physician and provider HR activities for UKP.
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the Executive Director of UKP and the System VP of HR, develop an HR infrastructure for the new physician entity including creation of policies and procedures that are consistent across different practice areas and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Execute a human capital strategy for UKP that is aligned with the overall health system human capital strategy.
- Participate as part of a system HR management team in developing and implementing a comprehensive human capital strategy for the health system. Responsible for the oversight and daily management of the overall HR activities for UKP including providing support to the Physician Manpower Planning Committee.
- Coordinate with the Director of Physician Recruitment relating to physician and provider recruitment.
- Work with the Executive Director and system HR to develop strategies to mitigate employment claims exposure.
- Responsible for the management and daily administration of the UKP Retirement Plans in collaboration with the system Senior Director of Total Rewards and provide coordination of the UKP Pension Committee.
- Manage physician and provider relations issues in UKP in coordination with the system employee relations team.
- Manage and administer UKP benefit programs including developing a supplemental benefits program that allows UKP to attract and retain top-tier provider talent.
- Conducts periodic fair market value assessments for physician and provider compensation plans.
- Champions physician and provider compensation and benefits projects and assists the Executive Director in the preparation of compensation and benefits related recommendations to the UKP Board. Member of system Benefits Committee and other ambulatory benefits committees.
- Facilitate change management initiatives in UKP in coordination with system change management initiatives.
- Participate in system HR quality improvement initiatives.

Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
- 5- 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience including broad knowledge in all HR areas including recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee development, etc.
- Strong business acumen with proven history of managing and directing complex HR operations and providing strong leadership in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in related field
- SPHR or PHR
- HR experience in a healthcare environment
