Position Description and Goals

The International Economic Development (IEDC) is accepting applications for an Economic Development Associate. This position is responsible for assisting and leading technical assistance projects, preparing information for analysis, and developing reports that support IEDC's federal and foundation grants.

Areas of Responsibility

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Supporting and/or leading technical assistance projects and customized training.

· Researching and assembling information required to report on federal and foundation grants or contracts.

· Supporting team members on proposals, research reports, publications, and technical assistance materials.

· Gathering information and developing presentations.

· Coordinating and supporting economic development volunteers on technical assistance visits.

· Performing some administrative, program, budget, and logistical support as needed and as required.

· Ensuring department records and databases are maintained with appropriate project descriptions and resources.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

· Two to four years of experience in an economic development or related field. Related fields may include but are not limited to entrepreneurship, main street, chamber of commerce, or community development.

· Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in basic research and analysis.

· Ability to complete projects on time and on budget.

· Ability to develop and maintain complex schedules.

· Computer literacy in Microsoft Office.

· Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Some out-of-town, overnight travel is required.

· Preferred experience in working in communities with diverse populations and in diverse communities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
