Job description

The Juvenile Officer of the Seventeenth Judicial Circuit of Missouri has an opening in the Cass County Juvenile Center for a Deputy of Security Operations. The position is full-time, county paid with county paid benefits. The starting pay is $45,406.40 annually. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Responsibilities include security screening of individuals entering the juvenile center, metal detector operation, and security briefings with the Operations Manager. The position also requires opening and closing of the facility, maintaining order, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED, POST certification from the State of Missouri, and the ability to maintain an active commission with a law enforcement agency within the State of Missouri. Proof of annual firearms qualification through a qualified law enforcement agency within the State of Missouri is required. Experience working in child welfare or with at-risk youth is preferred. All applicants must be 21 years of age or older, have a clean driving record and submit to a background check.
