Brief Overview of role:

This is a full-time position. Under the supervision of the Dental Clinic Manager, the Dental Coordinator provides administrative and clinical support for the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs and the Front Office. The Dental Coordinator helps facilitate the daily operation of the Dental Clinic by coordinating patient care and maintaining supplies and equipment. This position requires strong communication and self-motivation skills.

What you will be doing in this role:

  • Assists Dentist and/or Hygienist during treatment procedures, assists Front Office with duties as needed
  • Acts as a liaison between Clinical Providers and the Front Office regarding Patients' individual needs
  • Coordinates the assignment of Patients while monitoring and prioritizing workflow of Dental Assistants
  • Performs supply, equipment, and inventory control and purchases supplies for the Back Office to ensure optimal clinic effectiveness
  • Works directly with the Clinic Manager to schedule maintenance and repair of dental equipment
  • Ensures OSHA standards are properly met, equipment is maintained correctly including keeping accurate records of such maintenance
  • Assists in training new Front Office and Back Office staff
  • Completes special projects as assigned by Clinic Manager

What qualifies you for this role:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 12-18 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Dental Assisting Certificate
  • X-ray Certification
  • Current BLS

Preferred, not required:

  • Coronal Polish Certificate
  • Expanded Functions
