: We are distinguished as a top-ranking regional distributor for many leading snack food manufacturers including Oberto, Jack Links, and Tillamook Country Smoker. We have an excellent opportunity in our Route Sales Department. We are currently looking to fill a Delivery Assistant position out of our Puyallup Location. This could lead to a full-time sales position. This role is a hands-on opportunity that will provide you valuable knowledge and experience in the snack and meat product sales and distribution industry. This position provides flexibility in scheduling and most of the time is spent working in the trade servicing convenience and major grocer accounts. This role will be developed and mentored to become familiar with the various roles of sales & operations within our growing company. We are looking for energetic individuals with a strong work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility to join and contribute to our team. This position will require early morning start times.
Essential Job Functions
- Breakdown and restock deliveries at convenience and major grocer accounts
- Build displays at retail accounts
- Fill shelves, end caps, and coolers with product to ensure proper cooler and shelf management
- Ensure all product is rotated and code policy is followed
- Maintain courteous and respectful attitude toward customers and co-workers
- Communicate with Manager on customer questions/issues as they arise
- Assist Sales Representatives with special requests as needed; i.e. building displays as requested
- Ability and willingness to select/load/unload and/or deliver ALL products that may be ordered by our customers.
- Properly use double-count techniques to ensure accurate delivery of product.
- Properly use unloading techniques to ensure safety of self and others and to eliminate damage to product.
- Properly use customer service best practices to ensure consistent quality service to our customers.

- Assist in stocking product in each customer account.
- Ensure product freshness standards through proper rotation of products.
- Ensure even distribution of loads between accounts to help prevent product damage.
- Assist in merchandising activities including, but not limited to, building displays, facing labels, hanging point of sale materials and making signs.
Requirements
- Sales and merchandising experience encouraged
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) – college degree preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills are required including phone, email, and text
- Enthusiastic, high energy, and self-motivated individual with a desire to succeed
- Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize, multi-task, problem solve, and meet deadlines
- Must have good attention to detail
- Ability to cope with pressure
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
- Daily, punctual attendance is required
- Must be able to work occasional weekend
- Must be able to push and pull a heavy cart while frequently bending, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting 40 lbs.
- Be able to successfully pass a physical capabilities test, drug screen and criminal background check.
