This is a crucial role within our busy, friendly and award-winning Customer Services team. You understand your customers' point of view and make them feel valued. Your warmth, passion and determination will help us to get it right, first time for our customers when they call.

No two days are ever the same. You’ll assist customers with water bills, refunds, payment plans and change of occupier. You’ll also help when they experience problems with their water supply. You respond quickly, enjoy solving problems and take pride in delivering your best results.

The starting salary is £20,208.77 and increases to £20,708.77 following probation. We also pay bonuses based on achieving targets. You can expect to earn an extra £3,000 on average and up to a maximum of £6,300. We’re open Monday to Friday 08:00 – 19:00 and Saturday 08:00 – 13:00. You’ll join a shift pattern that includes 1 Saturday every 6 weeks. The rotas are prepared well in advance so you can plan ahead.

We can also offer options to permanently work 09:30 – 14:30 with 1in6 Saturdays or 10:30 – 19:00 shift with 1in6 Saturdays. Just let us know at interview what shift preference you have.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential. You’re willing to learn and respond well to feedback. We provide full induction training, regular coaching and the support and encouragement needed to get you off to the best start.

What will you be responsible for delivering?

  • Provide an excellent customer experience by being flexible to resolve all customer contacts within the company timescales and contribute to customer satisfaction score.
  • Maintain focus on meeting targets and adhere to business processes, data protection, regulatory compliance and attendance.
  • Build relationships with peers and colleagues to enhance the team working environment, resolve customer problems and ensure successful productivity.
  • Proactively use information and resources to ensure that skills and knowledge are kept up to date and continuously developed.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings with team, peers and colleagues.
  • To be available to support the business in peak periods by covering post room and reception duties and by being part of a stand by rota emergency periods.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Live within a commutable distance to our office in Snodland, Kent.
  • You’ll be on-site for your 5-week induction and until you are full trained in the role.
  • There will be the option for Hybrid working, typically after 4-6 months when your meeting all of your targets.
  • Passionate about excellent customer service.
  • Determined to find the best solutions to problems.
  • Having previous customer service experience would be beneficial.
  • Good typing abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
