The Customer Retention Representative – Flexible Work Options is role is a highly consultative retention sales opportunity, operating in a call center environment. Call center hours of operation are 5am – 8pm, Mon – Fri and 6am – 6pm, Sat, Sun Closed; shift schedule will be determined at time of hire and subject to change.

As part of a customer loyalty driven team, highly motivated individuals could receive a targeted annual amount of $53,763. This reflects the fulltime hourly base rate of at least $16.04 and target commission is $1,700 a month. There is potential to earn up to and beyond $70,000 annually as a high performer. Employees also receive a ramp period of 2 months to adjust to commission earnings.

You are driven, influential, and able to identify what best suits the customers' needs. You can negotiate with customers and problem-solve while maintaining revenue. Change is a part of every salesperson's life, and value is most important in any sales offer.

You're a self-starter, familiar with the technology. Your approach is based on understanding the customer's needs and offering solutions.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Relevant Work Experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with the call center team
  • Persuasion skills to engage fully with the customers

What You Will Do

  • Take calls from customers about to downgrade and disconnect their services.
  • Listen to their concerns. Steer them toward solutions so we can turn the corner on their experience!
  • Have transparent conversations to help customers understand the value of existing Cox products and services. Uncover the need for new products and services.
  • Reaffirm the needs of each customer's household. Solidify why Cox products and services satisfy their needs.
  • Upsell, cross-sell, and work to retain every customer with whom you interact. Negotiate service pricing and identify new opportunities.
  • Use our customer database to tailor solutions and help customers understand their billing components.
