Job description

Busy production plant with approximately 80 employees looking for an experienced custodian to maintain restrooms, breakroom, offices, and general appearance of the plant. The selected candidate will be responsible for:

Job Duties:

· Servicing, cleaning, and supplying restrooms.

· Cleaning breakroom to include wiping off tables, cleaning microwaves, and cleaning the refrigerators.

· Cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.

· Stripping, sealing, finishing, and polishing floors as needed

· Steam-cleaning or shampooing carpets as needed

· Gathering and emptying trash.

· Cleaning windows, blinds, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.

· Dusting furniture, walls, machines, or equipment.

· Cleaning and polishing furniture and fixtures.

· Following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

· Mixing water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.

· Maintaining outside areas by picking up trash and debris and emptying garbage cans.

· Setting-up, arranging, or removing decorations, tables, chairs to prepare facilities for events, such as banquets or meetings

· Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· At least 3 years’ experience as a custodian in a plant environment.

· Ability to stand, stoop, bend, manipulate objects

· Good attendance is a must.
