Role: CT Technologist

Location: Beverly, MA

Contract Duration: 13 weeks contract with a possibility of extension

Pay Rate: Up To$72/hr

Work Schedule: 36-40hrs/week

Shift: Night and evening coverage

COVID VACCINE AND FLU SHOT REQUIRED

REQUIREMENTS:

• Two year AMA accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Proficient in scanning in a high volume trauma setting.
• Previous experience in trauma preferred
• ARRT, CT Registered, current BLS certificate
• GE experience preferred, but not required
• 1+ years CT experience preferred
• fluency in diagnostic X-ray is preferred
• IV experience preferred 1-2 years general RT experience required
• will float between Beverly & Addison Gilbert Hospitals ~10 miles

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
• Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
• Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
• Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
• Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
• Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
• Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
• Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.

Experience:

• general RT: 1 year (Required)
• IV: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Required)
• ARRT (CT) Certification (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (Preferred)
