Job description
Winnebago County Animal Services seeks applicants for a part-time position as Courier. This person will transport cats and kittens to PetSmart adoption locations, dogs and cats to veterinary appointments, and run other errands for the department. Applicants must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and feel comfortable driving a county vehicle (transit van). For this position the successful candidate must also be able to safely handle cats and dogs and to keep paperwork and other documentation organized. The position is part time and will work up to 20 hours per week.
Animal Services is a department of the Winnebago County government and has annual intake of approximately 4,500 animals each year. Kennel Technicians are responsible for a range of tasks related to the care and housing of those animals including kennel sanitation, animal health and nutrition, daily monitoring of animal behavior and activity, and other tasks.
