Hours : 3:00p - 11:30p and every other weekend

***$2,000 SIGN-ON BONUS - eligible to those that qualify ***

JOB SUMMARY:

Crisis intervention counselors engage with individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis and conduct clinical mental health assessments and interventions in a variety of settings to determine treatment needs for individuals with mental health and/or co-occurring substance use disorders. Staff provide preliminary diagnoses and collaborate on plans of recommended treatment, services and resources. Staff conduct bed searches for patients in need of psychiatric hospitalization and complete public and private insurance authorizations for inpatient admissions. Services include suicide risk assessment, crisis resolution, referral collaboration, supportive counseling and follow-up. Crisis counselors work closely with emergency departments, community agencies, law enforcement, schools and other mental health providers, including providing mobile crisis services in the community. In addition, staff handle calls on a 24-hour crisis hotline.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field required.

One (1) year of job related experience required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) upon orientation completion.

Valid driver’s license required.
