Copywriter / Editor, PowerPoint

Trial Ready Pro is a litigation graphics and legal animation company based in Los Angeles, CA. We focus on creating persuasive, engaging, and effective visuals in the form of animated videos, presentations, and illustrations to be used by attorneys and experts in trial and mediation. We do so with an emphasis on stellar customer service.

We’re currently seeking an exceptional copywriter/editor/proofreader with direct experience in creating clean and engaging PowerPoint presentations. The ideal candidate will have a “can-do” attitude and a desire to do whatever it takes to make our clients more than just satisfied - but excited about the final product. This role is client facing so professional demeanor and ability to take direct criticism during meetings are crucial skills to possess. The ideal candidate is able to easily take direction and craft presentations while considering the intention of the slide and minimizing spelling and grammatical errors.

This is a contract job and can be remote or “work from home” with flexible hours, but you must be able to meet deadlines and be available for client meetings via Zoom when asked. It is not required to have experience working in the legal industry.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience copywriting and editing in a professional setting required
  • Expert technical knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and all its functionality
  • Creative experience in graphic design or related not required but a big advantage
  • Experience with video editing software not required but an advantage
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication required
  • Must be able to take direction and translate into a presentation effectively
  • Must be comfortable working with and talking to high-level trial lawyers
  • Must be an excellent note taker in a fast paced environment
  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and excellent customer service required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Receive direction, notes, or outlines on calls or in a document and translate into beautifully designed PowerPoint presentations
  • Add animations and callouts within the presentation as needed
  • Edit videos as needed to include in presentations
  • Appear on zoom video meetings and phone calls with clients to present work and take thorough notes on any changes needed
  • Revise presentations based on client notes minimizing grammatical errors while effectively accomplishing goals

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
