We are seeking a Cook who:
- Prepares/cooks high quality foods as outlined on the menu, including items for breakfast, lunch, supper and desserts.
- Assists in food preparation and planning and provides direction to the dietary aides as needed
- Works with the Dietary Manager to ensure appropriate menus/cooking plans for modified and therapeutic diets for residents
- Helps coordinate and serves food to residents and ensures appropriate food temperatures and sanitation are maintained
- Maintains appropriate portion control and emphasizes food presentation and quality control measures
- Maintains order and cleanliness in work area, including clean-up of dishes and supplies
- Demonstrates knowledge and exhibits sanitary food handling, preparation and storage techniques.
