Job description

We are looking for an energetic, fast-paced cook to join our team! Our menu is on the smaller side with traditional brewery/gastropub offerings. Attention to detail and cleanliness are important candidate traits for our team. Must be a team player!

• Cooks are responsible for prepping items, cooking food on a grill, stove, oven, and fryers, as well as cross trained with preparing, cooking and garnishing various brick-oven pizzas efficiently.
• Assisting in production of all menu items
• Cleaning the kitchen during the shift and at the end of the shift

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

• be at least 18 years old
• be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time
• have knowledge of cooking principles
• have restaurant experience in an environment where a variety of entrees and methods are used.
• have Food Safety Professionals certification or equivalent certification, if not would be required to attain one within 90 days of his or her start date in the position
• be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• be able to read, write, and solve math problems
• be able to interpret, understand, and follow instructions
• be able to stand for long periods of time
• be able to bend, stoop, and twist
• have reliable transportation
• have the ability to work well with others and be a team member
• show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work.
