Mid-State Petroleum Equipment, Inc. (MSPE) is a full-service petroleum equipment contractor, headquartered in Hallsville, MO. MSPE provides construction services for retail fueling stations, commercial fleet fueling terminals and general-aviation and self-service fueling facilities throughout Missouri. MSPE supports our customer network with on-call equipment service.

MSPE has an immediate opening for an entry-level Construction Laborer who is looking for a place to grow and make a career.

In this position, you will work as part of a team to install Tanks, Piping, Electrical and Mechanical Systems that operate fueling facilities. Examples include service stations, marinas, transportation companies and more. When hired as an MSPE Apprentice, you will perform work for our service and construction departments as well as miscellaneous warehouse and building and ground maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

• CLEAN AND VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE - NO EXCEPTIONS
• Must be drug free and able to pass a background check
• Physically fit, able to climb ladders, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, be in confined spaces and lift 75 lbs
• Polite, neat, clean and professional demeanor
• Self-motivated, mature and responsible - able to work as a team member or independently.
• A positive team player; opposed to complaining, gossiping, and negativity

Ideal Candidate will be/have:

• Able to follow direction and learn specific processes
• Understanding of basic construction tools and processes
• Strong safety record
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to think critically and problem solve
• Able to work in any weather
• Both mechanically and electronically minded
• Very good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• High school diploma
