Title: Senior Specialist, Configuration Management
Location: Fall River, MA
Major purpose:
Client has an opportunity for a Senior Specialist, Configuration Management, as it continues tdevelop and establish a foothold in the rapidly growing market space for Unmanned Underwater Vehicles (UUV). This role will be responsible for the Configuration Management activities for the IVER family of UUVs and associated support equipment. This position will maintain Configuration Management (CM) surveillance on assigned programs in accordance with contractual requirements and Division policies. Responsibilities will include but are not limited tthe application of CM principles including configuration planning, identification, change control, status accounting and auditing with regards tprogram tasks. This role will interface with personnel from Program Management, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Support Systems Engineering, Operations and the customer with respect tCM issues
Education/experience:
· Familiar with Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) process and tools
· Familiarity with Configuration Management principles, processes and procedures.
· Identify and coordinate processes changes for configuration management.
· Support and facilitate version and process auditing and reporting
· Explain, interpret, and gain cooperation on policies, procedures, and practices.
· Associates degree in a technical or business-related discipline or equivalent.
· Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
· Strong attention tdetail and organizational and time management skills.
· Ability tinterpret engineering drawings and data.
· Experience communicating within and outside of own department as well as parties external tthe organization.
Preferred Additional Skills:
· Strong oral and written communication skills; including presentations tstaff, potential customers and other professionals; ability tcommunicate clearly, concisely, logically and coherently.
· Self-starter and multi-tasker.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· DoD/Navy contracting experience
· Experience with Product Lifecle Management (PLM) tools and/Or SolidWorks
· Familiar with Military Standards:
· EIA-649 - Configuration Management Standard
· MIL-HDBK-61 - Configuration Management Guide
· MIL-STD-973 - Configuration Management Standard
· MIL-STD-31000A - Technical Data Packages
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
