Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Policy & Assurance group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Compliance Business Analyst.

Our team works an on-site 9x80 schedule located at our EROB facility with every other Friday off!

Responsibilities Include:

  • The Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Business Analyst to join the Acquisition & Contracts Management team.
  • In this role you will act independently to support acquisition Policy & Assurance functions enabling compliant contracting activities that connect resources to research.
  • Serve as a recognized subject matter compliance expert and/or designated lead coordinating assessment and assurance activities for the Acquisition and Contracts Management organization.
  • Compliance responsibilities will include the development and execution of compliance strategies, maturation of the compliance program, performance of internal assessments, analyzing compliance data to manage/mitigate risks, and supporting internal/OIG audits and coordination of PERT activities.
  • Maintain and improve policy infrastructure to facilitate compliant and effective contracting operations through researching new requirements, developing implementation plans, incorporating applicable changes into policies, revising existing procedures, and institution of enhanced processes.
  • Perform assessments to ensure compliance to policies and support benchmarking efforts with other laboratories and entities to verify alignment with standard methodologies.
  • Support the development and implementation of spend analytics (historical spend patterns, procurement volume projections, future spend forecasts, predictive analytics, dashboard development, etc.) for the purpose of reducing laboratory costs and improving operational performance.
  • Take a proactive approach to process improvement initiatives within the organization. Function as change agent (obtain agreement and lead implementation of new processes).
  • Provide recommendations for process improvement initiatives and assume leadership of special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field plus 5-8 years' experience or Master's degree in related field plus 3-6 years' experience
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with managers and employees at all levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, projects, and tasks
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimal oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Advanced Excel skills required

Preferred Requirements:

The Business Analyst must be:

  • Capable of ascertaining if files, contracts, and or Procurement Summaries are stays in sync with written procedures and policies
  • Currently hold or capable of obtaining a Qualified Assessors Certification
  • Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team building, conflict management, and time management skills

  • Salary Grade 190 ($70,680 - $116,616) / 200 ($81,288 - $134,100)
