Description

Ascent Classical Academies is currently seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator who shares a passion for our mission to grow the classical education movement for our new school opening in fall 2023 in northeast Denver in the boundaries of the 27J school district, near Brighton / Thornton.

Ascent Classical Academies is a dynamic educational company that partners with a network of classical charter schools based in Colorado delivering a content-rich curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences, with underlying principles in the Western tradition of the study of history, literature, philosophy, and fine arts. American Classical Education includes, among other things, the study of Latin; a rich examination of American literary, moral, philosophical, political, and historical tradition; and a school culture centered upon moral virtue, respect, discipline, and studiousness among students and faculty alike. The Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for modeling, implementing, and continuously improving in the following areas and scope of work:
- Assist with the coordination of local events, parent meetings, etc.
- Assist with increasing enrollment applications
- Coordinate parent volunteers
- Identify community organizations and businesses to display Ascent marketing materials
- Assist with social media posts in local community groups
- Communicate with parents and volunteers through email, social media, and by phone
- Identify strategic partnerships in the local community
- Other duties as assigned to support the mission and vision of ACA
Successful candidates will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. They will balance flexibility and innovation with discernment and consistency while staying faithfully committed to the mission and vision of ACA, as well as laws, guidance, and best practices. They will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Start Date: Immediate
Salary Range: $17.00 per hour
Schedule and Classification: Part-time (approximately 20 hours), non-exempt, temporary.
Benefits are not included except as required under the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act for paid time off. Should the successful candidate transition to a regular full-time position, Ascent Classical Academies offers the following benefits:

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
