The Colorado Preparatory Academy Elementary School Registrar is responsible for supporting Administrators and families with local enrollment processes.

Essential Functions : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.
  • Request and track receipt of records for newly enrolled students
  • Creates and maintains all permanent student records, including transcripts, and ensures proper disposal of student records
  • Processes student withdrawals; fulfills records requests for withdrawn students within prescribed time frames
  • Develop student data reports and attendance reports as needed, including attendance audits
  • Maintain the K12 and state student-level database
  • Maintain student cumulative files and other student records
  • Establish secure access to student records
  • Assist in course promotions
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of transcripts and records release forms
  • Process parent contact and data information change requests
  • Maintain relationships with local school districts for records reporting
  • Assist counselors verifying graduation requirements and credits earned (if applicable)
  • Maintain a high-level of discretion and security of student information
  • Liaison between virtual academy, K12 and School Districts
  • Serves as primary point of contact for families, teachers, staff, and other schools in regards to accessing student information and records;
  • Ensures that school personnel comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
  • Any other responsibilities as identified and assigned by manager and/or supervisor;

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Required Qualifications :
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1(One)+ year(s) of directly relevant work experience externally or 6-12 months of relevant work experience with K12 in a similar position

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

Residency Requirement: Must be a Colorado resident

System Requirements:
  • Our work from home members are asked to have and maintain High-speed internet connection. At the minimum 25Mbps download speed and 5Mbps upload speed, if not competing with other household users. For the sake of call quality, satellite, DSL, data plans, wireless or dial-up services are not compatible.
  • Some Internet service providers enable what is called SIP ALG (Session Initiation Protocol Application Layer Gateway). This interferes with our systems and must be disabled by the provider.
  • Ethernet connection is preferred.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent customer service skills and prior experience providing customer support
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to respond appropriately to feedback, mentoring and coaching Ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a deadline driven atmosphere, and demonstrate resilience
  • Physical requirements: sedentary work, fluent typing, listening, speaking, extensive reading, repetitive motions, and extended computer usage.
  • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during our hours of operation
  • Attend virtual training via web cam
  • Own or have daily access to a smart device where Apps can be downloaded/accessed (i.e., phone, tablet)
  • High level of attention to detail with focus on quality while working in a high-volume environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in an effective and efficient manner
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Flexible schedule with ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Ability to clear required background check

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person's education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position's work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee's salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position's level and expected contribution, and the employee's benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
  • Non-exempt (hourly): Post hourly wages
    We anticipate this position will pay between $12.28 to $19.32 per hour. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual's compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
