Job description

We are seeking a motivated and organized Collections Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in collections, customer service, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Starting Pay $17- $21
• Contact clients via phone, emails, and designated customer portals to secure payment on overdue accounts
• Collaborate with the processing team to resolve any billing errors
• Process credit card payments in real-time or provide banking information
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collection efforts
• Provide excellent customer service while resolving disputes and negotiating payment plans
• Meet and exceed established collection targets
• Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding debt collection
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
• Offer support to Collections Representatives and make recommendations for the next steps
• Act as a liaison between the Manager and other Collectors
• Own any escalated accounts and manage any extensive reconciliations

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience as a collections representative or in a similar role
• 1+ years in a coach/mentor role preferred
• Knowledge of accounting principles
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
