The Big Picture: Howden are a global engineering business who focus on providing clients with industrial products that help multiple sectors improve their everyday processes. What needs to be done?

The CNC Programmer/Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures, processes, and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Focus on lean improvements in meeting production demands, while maintaining safety and quality.

Develop and implement machining processes for new parts while maximizing safety, quality, and efficiency

Develop and implement improvements on current machining process

Design and implement fixtures and tooling to optimize quality and efficiency

Ability to assess safety, quality, and delivery problems on the shop floor and implement solutions.

Develops process documentation including SOPs, Control Plans and Routings to support machining processes

Develop and implement Lean manufacturing principles

Lead the tryout and evaluation of new machinery, tooling, and equipment

What do you need to bring?

Ability to accurately read and understand drawings and engineering specifications to ensure proper setup requirements, sequence of operations, dimensions, and tolerance levels of finished product

Experience working with manual and multi-axis machining

Strong CNC Programming knowledge (G and M code)

Experience in fixture design and tooling optimization

Ability to use precision measuring equipment and gauges

Demonstrate technical know-how and people skills to provide hands-on support

Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
