Job Description
At CityMD, we believe quality care should not stop when your visit ends. Our Aftercare team of clinical assistants are customer-oriented service professionals who are responsible for following up with our CityMD patients. They relay clinical results to them in a timely manner, assist in the coordination of referrals, pre-approvals and other follow-up appointments. They work from our Call Center department in Long Island, NY.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
  • Responsible for answering high volume of incoming phone calls, emailing online inquiries, confirming appointments as well as making outgoing calls for patient retention purposes
  • Generate patient letters / reports
  • Obtain and attach patient clinical documents to a patient’s chart
  • Report cases to the Department of Health (DOH) via Facsimile and online portal
  • Print lab results and identify patient allergies and current medications
  • Timely responses to tasks assigned by clinicians
  • Ability to complete nine (9) or more calls per hour
  • Send patient requested medical reports via email
  • Ability to multi-task and use multiple systems, including our electronic medical documentation system to provide medical information and patient support/follow up after the clinical visit
  • Generate patient letters / reports within one (1) day of being identified
  • Complete all task assigned by a clinician before end of shift
  • Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and policies
Qualifications
  • A High School Degree or GED
  • Passionate about customer service and patient satisfaction
  • Ability to handle a high number of calls per day
  • Courteous, empathic, and professional manner.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Being receptive to feedback, willing to learn, embracing continuous improvement
  • Flexible with a full-time work schedule including weekends, rotating hours and holidays.
  • Call center or clinical laboratory experience a plus
  • Bilingual/multilingual skills desirable.
Physical Requirements
This job may require, from time to time, repetitive tasks. Heavy computer use required.
