The Intelligence Group of Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Chief of Staff to support the Intelligence Group President with carrying out Group-wide strategic operational initiatives.

Specifically, this role is responsible for leading projects and collaborating with business and functional leaders within the Group. The selected candidate will apply sound judgment to the most complex planning, design, technical, and management functions. Effectiveness will be determined by this individual’s ability to quickly form partnerships across the Intel Group and Corporate Headquarters to facilitate efficient and effective business operations. The Chief of Staff serves as the primary point of contact for assigned cross organizational projects.

Reporting to the Intelligence Group President, the primary responsibilities include, however are not limited to:

  • Providing decision support through data gathering, information analysis, and presentation of relevant considerations to key stakeholders

  • Ensuring streamlined activities within the organization based on the strategic objectives and priorities of the Group President

  • Coordinating the execution of strategic initiatives and guiding them to completion

  • Ensuring all Group-level issues are addressed properly, efficiently, and judiciously while tracking progress until resolved.

  • Orchestrating and facilitating group events (conferences, off-sites & all-hands), meeting agendas, logistics and follow-ups.

  • Anticipating, identifying and troubleshooting issues of concern or significance, and exercising discretion to provide timely information and necessary updates across multiples stakeholders

  • Ensuring individuals assigned to support projects are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan.

  • Managing Group President visits to company sites to maximize impact, visibility, and fostering employee communication with the Group President

  • Working with the Group President and the organization’s executive assistant to prioritize external engagement attendance.

  • Carrying out and supporting other operational projects as assigned by the Group President

  • Develops relationships with executive-level and senior management and keeps them informed of the corporate planning calendar and other items related to GP priorities.

  • Consults with senior management, project sponsors, and/or other stakeholders regarding the interpretation of work-around, recovery plans, and work scope changes, etc. for multiple projects.

  • Working across Corporate with other ELT Chief of Staffs to ensure consistency across projects and objectives.

  • Transforms ideas and leadership inputs into executive level PowerPoint briefings and written reports (~4x / month).

    • Includes but not limited to preparing, reviewing, and editing briefing materials for the Board of Directors, CEO and ELT Supports GP in assessing scenarios requiring executive insight for problem/resolution such as issues arising out of Defense Group or other corporate organizations.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience~

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university required.

  • 12+ years of relevant experience and leadership responsibilities

  • Knowledge of program management/scheduling tools and techniques is expected.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in all project management areas is critical.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for productive collaboration across varying functional and operational departments

  • Detail oriented and data driven

  • Ability to analyze and compile large swaths of data and present effective reports

  • Strong analytical, creativity, and problem solving skills

  • Impeccable time management and multi-tasking skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, including ability to establish positive and productive working relationships inside and outside the company across time zones.

Clearance~ Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance. Current clearance is preferred.

Telework and Travel~ The Chief of Staff is expected to work primarily onsite in Reston. A mix of 4+ days in office and one day working from home (WFH). Expect to travel with the executive when necessary.

Rotation ~This role is rotational in nature and meant to give the CoS an enterprise perspective (18 to 24 months). You will get knowledge on how the group and corporation makes decisions.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $142,350.00 - $219,000.00 - $295,650.00
